It’s hard not to love your job when the people you are around are as happy as Sarah and Andrew. Their wedding in Holland was so much fun to shoot! They were surrounded by good friends and close family the entire day. It was inspiring and humbling at the same time. Thank you to Sarah and Andrew for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day. There are two things that I really loved about this wedding. First, Sabrina and Grant know how to have fun. From start to finish these two were all smiles and grins and were bound and determined to squeeze every last drop of fun out of their wedding day. I loved it! Second, their reception was held in Holland at the Holland Area Arts Council. Can you say amazing?? It was a gorgeous place to shoot and between the backdrop of all the art mixed with all the love and fun of Sabrina and Grant’s wedding day, it was perfect. I can’t wait to share these photos!

I love the craziness and mayhem that happens all day long at a wedding. I love the excitement and the rush and the buzz in the air. I love how happy and joyful everyone is. What I loved about Meredith and Michael’s wedding was that even with the normal chaos, it was relaxed and there was this easy way about how the day unfolded. It still had that sense of excitement but it also had a distinct sense of purpose. Like it was meant to be. I loved their intimate wedding and I am thankful I had the chance to be a part of it. Congratulations to Michael & Meredith!

 

There are A LOT of things I love about living in a little town along the shores of gorgeous Lake Michigan. A lot. There is, however, an unmistakable pull toward the big city, especially for me, Detroit. I grew up a few miles north of the city so it’s fun to be near my old stomping grounds, and big cities always seem to have this buzz of energy that I love. So, I was thrilled to take a mini road trip east to shoot Wendy & Matt’s wedding in downtown Detroit. It was really cool to see the way these two families blended together. It was a wonderful day and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it. Congratulations to Matt & Wendy!!

I wish I could put into words how amazing Jessica and Ryan are together. I guess I’m lucky that you can see it in their photos. Look at the way she looks at him. Look at his body language when he’s holding her. You can see it plain as day. These two were meant to be together. I loved a lot of things about this wedding – gorgeous location in Grand Rapids, super cool venue for the reception (San Chez – yumm-o!), stunning couple… but what made it most fun for me was watching Jessica and Ryan as they started this chapter of their lives together. Thank you for having me be a part of your day!
